Rare Bronze-Age jewelry found in Gegharkunik
Ancient bronze rings, a part of a bracelet, and beads were discovered during the excavations of the ancient monument Kanageg, located on the territory of the village of Karmirgyukh in the Gegharkunik region of Armenia, The jewelry will be transferred to the Erebuni Historical and Archaeological Museum-Reserve. Excavations on the territory of the monument will continue next year.
A museum and an Armenian studies office have been opened at the school named after archaeologist Yesai Asatryan in the village of Nerkin Bazmaberd in the region of Aragatsotn.
The work of the museum will be supervised by researchers. Different lectures and educational programs will be held here, and the students from neighboring villages can take part in them as well.
