Khachkars and fragments of monuments were moved to the territory of the historical and cultural reserve “Lori Fortress”

Khachkars from different parts of the Lori Berd community were collected, cleaned and moved to the territory of the “Lori Fortress”. Khackars were moved from their original position due to various circumstances. Also fragments of destroyed and damaged monuments of history and architecture were moved to the territory of the “Lori Fortress”.

The Vice Speaker of the Lithuanian Parliament visited the “Garni” Historical and Cultural Reserve Museum

Vice-President of the Seimas of Lithuania Andrius Mazuronis, who is on an official visit to Armenia, visited the “Garni” historical and cultural reserve-museum. The Garni Temple impressed the Lithuanian official, giving him the opportunity to get acquainted with part of the historical heritage of Armenia.

Work is underway on three famous monuments in Kotayk

The sculptures “Echo” (sculptor Khachatur Hakobyan) and “Ribbon of Infinity” (David Bedzhanyan), which are located on the Yerevan-Sevan highway, were repeatedly vandalized. To protect the restored sculptures, security systems will be installed on their territory.

Improvement works are underway on the territory of the “Garni” historical and cultural reserve-museum

Improvement works are underway on the territory of the “Garni” historical and cultural reserve-museum. On both sides of the alley leading to the Garni temple, 24 basalt pedestals will be installed on which historical stones and preserved fragments will be placed. The stones were brought from the territory of the “Garni” museum-reserve. The purpose of placing them on pedestals is, firstly, to show them to visitors, and secondly, to protect the stones from decay.
