WORKING VISIT TO KOTAYK PROVINCE
The staff of the Monuments Preservation Department together with the Head of the Regional Service of Kotayk, the Hrazdan territorial coordinator, and the guardian of the monuments have made a working visit to a number of problematic and impassable monuments in the Hrazdan region. During the visit, digitization works of monuments have been carried out.
- The state of preservation of the caravanserai of the Vanatur district of Hrazdan was studied, and further actions were discussed.
- A monitoring was done in the area of “Fortress” of Meghradzor village.
- Monitoring works were carried out in the areas of Tejharuyk monastery and Artavazavank, which are included in the list of the most endangered monuments.
- They walked around the areas of the medieval churches and the Stone Age cave-dwelling west of Jrarat.
- The identification works of khachkar were carried out in the Aghbyurak district.
- Also, they visited the areas of lately restored monuments: “Chanaparhashinararner” (“The Ribbon of Infinity”/Anverjutyan Zhapaven) and “Ardzagank”/Echo/.
